Ingredients
- Serves 4:
- 4 slices of Foie Gras – Discover our selection of traditional foie gras.
- 2 sweet potatoes
- 2 red beets
- 1 onion
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (gas mark 6).
- Peel the sweet potatoes and beet, then dice finely.
- Peel and slice the onion.
- Heat the olive oil in a frying pan, then fry the vegetables (sweet potatoes, beet and onion) for around 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Meanwhile, place the slices of foie gras in an ovenproof dish. Bake for 5 minutes, until just melting.
- In a small saucepan, reduce the balsamic vinegar over low heat to obtain a slightly syrupy sauce.
- Serve hot: arrange the sautéed vegetables on a plate, add the foie gras and drizzle with the balsamic reduction.
