E per una buona ragione: \u00e8 l&#8217;unico peperoncino piccante della Francia e ha lo status AOC! Ma non \u00e8 tutto: questo peperoncino proviene dal villaggio di Espelette, che \u00e8 diventato un must da provare nei Paesi Baschi! Abbiamo preparato un articolo per farti conoscere pi\u00f9 da vicino questo eccezionale peperoncino. Cos\u00ec potrai imparare qualcosa in pi\u00f9 su un alimento che amiamo. Inoltre, sicuramente vorrai scoprire il villaggio in cui ha avuto origine durante un breve viaggio turistico!       <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Peperoncino di Espelette, assolutamente da provare<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Contrariamente a quanto si potrebbe pensare, il peperoncino di Espelette non proviene dai Paesi Baschi! Infatti, \u00e8 originario del Sud America. Tuttavia, fu importato nei Paesi Baschi nel XVI secolo. Il peperoncino di Espelette non \u00e8 stato utilizzato in cucina fin dall&#8217;inizio. Inizialmente veniva utilizzato per scopi medicinali. Inizi\u00f2 a farsi strada nelle cucine per conservare la carne e sostituire il pepe nei piatti. Nel 2000 questo gustoso peperoncino ha ottenuto la denominazione di origine protetta (AOC), che gli ha permesso di essere riconosciuto come un prodotto di alta qualit\u00e0, e la produzione nei Paesi Baschi sta crescendo di anno in anno.      <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Scopri la citt\u00e0 del pepe<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Il peperoncino di Espelette si \u00e8 stabilito comodamente nell&#8217;omonimo villaggio: Espelette, nei Pyr\u00e9n\u00e9es-Atlantiques. Gli abitanti del luogo sono particolarmente affezionati alla sua fragranza, che \u00e8 il risultato di una lunga essiccazione al sole. Ma il pilent \u00e8 diventato cos\u00ec popolare che \u00e8 stato utilizzato per produrre i suoi derivati, come il cioccolato al peperoncino di Espelette o la gelatina! Espelette \u00e8 una citt\u00e0 in cui \u00e8 facile trovare questo peperoncino e i suoi numerosi derivati nei vari negozi. Ma non \u00e8 tutto: il peperoncino \u00e8 una presenza fissa in ogni casa, per cui potrai ammirare una citt\u00e0 con rastrelliere di peperoncini sulla facciata di ogni casa. Da settembre in poi, potrai ammirare i peperoncini inghirlandati lungo le facciate e i balconi di tutto il paese. Espelette organizza anche un festival annuale del peperoncino alla fine di ottobre (l&#8217;ultimo fine settimana).
