Sicuramente hai sentito parlare del pepe di Espelette. Se l&#8217;avete assaggiato, lo apprezzerete sicuramente. E per una buona ragione, \u00e8 l&#8217;unico peperoncino piccante in Francia e ha la classificazione AOC!<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Pepe di Espelette, un must<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Contrariamente a quanto si potrebbe pensare, il pepe di Espelette non viene dai Paesi Baschi! La sua origine infatti viene dal Sud America ma fu importata nei Paesi Baschi nel XVI secolo. Il pepe di Espelette non \u00e8 stato utilizzato in cucina sin dall&#8217;inizio poich\u00e9 inizialmente veniva utilizzato per scopi medici. Cominci\u00f2 ad arrivare nelle cucine per conservare la carne e per sostituire il pepe nei piatti.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>La citt\u00e0 di questo peperone da scoprire<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Il pepe di Espelette si \u00e8 comodamente insediato nell&#8217;omonimo villaggio: Espelette nei Pirenei atlantici. La gente del posto apprezza particolarmente la sua fragranza derivante dall&#8217;essiccazione al sole a lungo termine.
