Entonces ya habr\u00e1s o\u00eddo hablar del pimiento de Espelette. Si lo has probado, seguro que te ha gustado. Y con raz\u00f3n: es la \u00fanica guindilla picante de Francia. Es m\u00e1s, \u00a1tiene categor\u00eda de AOC! Pero eso no es todo: este pimiento picante procede del pueblo de Espelette, \u00a1que se ha convertido en una visita obligada en el Pa\u00eds Vasco!     <\/p>\n\n<p>Hemos preparado un art\u00edculo para presentarte con m\u00e1s detalle esta guindilla excepcional, para que aprendas un poco m\u00e1s sobre ella. \u00a1Seguro que querr\u00e1s descubrir el pueblo de donde es originario en un breve viaje tur\u00edstico! <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\nGuindilla de Espelette, una prueba obligada<\/h2>\n\n<p>Contrariamente a la creencia popular, \u00a1el pimiento de Espelette no es originario del Pa\u00eds Vasco! De hecho, es originario de Sudam\u00e9rica, pero se import\u00f3 al Pa\u00eds Vasco en el siglo <sup>XVI<\/sup>. El pimiento de Espelette no se utiliz\u00f3 en la cocina desde el principio, ya que inicialmente se empleaba con fines medicinales. Se empez\u00f3 a utilizar en las cocinas para conservar la carne y sustituir a la pimienta en los platos.   <\/p>\n\n<p>Este sabroso pimiento\nacab\u00f3 incluso recibiendo la etiqueta AOC en 2000, lo que\nha permitido que se reconozca como un producto de alta calidad y que la producci\u00f3n de\nen el Pa\u00eds Vasco crezca a\u00f1o tras a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Descubre la ciudad de esta pimienta<\/h2>\n\n<p>El\npiment d&#8217;Espelette se ha establecido c\u00f3modamente en el\npueblo del mismo nombre: Espelette, en los Pirineos Atl\u00e1nticos.\nA los lugare\u00f1os les gusta especialmente su fragancia, resultado del\nsecado al sol durante mucho tiempo. Pero el pilent ha conquistado\nhasta el punto de producir sus propios derivados, \u00a1como chocolate con\npiment d&#8217;Espelette o gelatina! <\/p>\n\n<p>Espelette\nes, por tanto, una ciudad donde puedes encontrar f\u00e1cilmente esta guindilla y\nsus muchos derivados en las distintas tiendas. Pero eso no es todo\n, la guindilla se encuentra en todos los hogares, por lo que podr\u00e1s\ndisfrutar de una ciudad con estantes de guindillas en las fachadas de las casas\n. A partir de septiembre, podr\u00e1s admirar\nlas guirnaldas de guindillas a lo largo de las fachadas y balcones\nde todo el pueblo.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fiestas en Espelette<\/h2>\n\n<p>  Adem\u00e1s, todos los a\u00f1os Espelette organiza una fiesta del pimiento a finales de octubre (el \u00faltimo fin de semana).
