Popular with surfers, the town is also a must-see in the region, thanks to its history and diverse events. As a friendly, historic and sporting city, Biarritz attracts many visitors throughout the year.  <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>A historic city&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Biarritz has a rich history, dating back to prehistoric times. It has passed through all eras: Antiquity, the Middle Ages, modern times, the French Revolution&#8230; Throughout the city, you&#8217;ll find vestiges of these past times and of its role of prime importance. If you visit, you&#8217;ll be able to admire monuments and buildings from various eras, such as Ch\u00e2teau Boulart and H\u00f4tel du Palais. You can also visit the Biarritz lighthouse and the town&#8217;s famous Russian Church. In all, there are more than a dozen monuments to discover in town. Biarritz is also known for its unique architecture, as well as its historical and religious monuments.
