What would you say to finding out more about this prince of operetta on a trip to the Basque Country? Indeed, <mark class=\"annotation-text annotation-text-yoast\" id=\"annotation-text-54a2cc2d-b964-4580-97a5-def72ed3ed7f\">Luis Mariano<\/mark> is an artist of Basque origin, and his story can easily be discovered on a city tour with a perfectly adapted itinerary. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>But before you go, it&#8217;s important to find out more about Luis Mariano, born in Irun in 1914. He spent many years perfecting his vocal technique, while taking part in radio broadcasts in Paris. His first operetta dates from 1945, and was the starting point of his great life as an artist. He appeared in eight major shows and soon became a veritable operetta star. But he didn&#8217;t limit himself to this art form, and also took great pleasure in drawing and painting, and even dabbled in film and television. His life led him to retrace the footsteps of his childhood and make his home in the Basque country, settling in Arcangues.
