A simple but effective recipe for Armagnac Foie Gras Canapés! The star of the catwalk at last in a recipe ideal for Christmas preparations.

Ingredients

  • 200 g foie gras flavored with Armagnac, cut into thin slices
  • 16 mini-toasts or slices of toast
  • 4 tablespoons onion jam (or fig jam, whichever you prefer)
  • A few sprigs of fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Preparation

  1. On each mini-toast or slice of toast, spread a tablespoon of onion (or fig) jam to add a sweet touch.
  2. Place a thin slice of Armagnac-flavored foie gras on each toast, making sure it covers the jam.
  3. Lightly season the foie gras with a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  4. If you like, garnish each canapé with a sprig of fresh parsley to add freshness and color.
  5. Serve these foie gras canapés with Armagnac as an aperitif or starter. They’re quick to prepare, elegant and deliciously tasty.
